Import Methods Overview
BitDek gives you four ways to import music. The right one depends on where your music lives today.
The Four Import Methods
Section titled “The Four Import Methods”The Import Music screen groups Music App and Source Folders under Music Sources, matching what you’ll see in the app:
- WiFi Transfer - Upload music from any computer using a web browser. No cables, no cloud accounts needed.
- Importing from the Music App - Bring in the music you own from Apple’s Music app. iTunes Store purchases and iTunes Match downloads, no computer required.
- Importing via Source Folders - Bookmark folders on your device or in cloud storage for repeated access.
- Share Extension - Send files to BitDek directly from the Files app or any app that supports iOS sharing.
Which Method Fits?
Section titled “Which Method Fits?”| Where your music is | Use this method |
|---|---|
| Bought on the iTunes Store, or in iTunes Match | Music App |
| Folders on your device, iCloud Drive, or Dropbox | Source Folders |
| On your computer | WiFi Transfer |
| Google Drive, OneDrive, or other unsupported clouds | Share Extension |
| A few files anywhere in the Files app | Share Extension |
You can mix methods freely. BitDek’s duplicate detection keeps repeat imports from cluttering your library.
